The article examines the possibility of spatial spillover effects of transport infrastructure in the economic regions of Vietnam. The results from the spatial regression model show positive evidence of spatial spillovers over the period 2000-2019. At the regional level, the spillover effects in the four key economic regions of Vietnam change significantly from time to time: the southern economic region always has a positive spillover effect; the Northern economic region has adverse spillover effects in the period 2000-2009 and positive in the period 2010-2019; the central economic region had negative spillovers in both periods; with the economic region of the Mekong Delta, negative spillovers can be observed after 2010. The analysis has shown close relationships between regional spillovers effects with the shift from production factors.
